CONSTRUCTING A PLACE
The contemporary city lights up with a new insertion in the urban texture. More than a simple building, the project aims to create a hybrid and dynamic “place”. This proposal intends to encourage meet-ups, promote new links and connections, activate programs and new uses.
The activities and events proposed, have the capacity to transform the urban city of Ribeirão Preto as it will host cultural, educational, leisure, sports and health activities essential for the contemporary citizen.
URBAN PLAZA, AQUATIC COMPLEX AND PROMENADE:
A place for opportunities.
A plaza opened for the public, available big open space. The flat and homogenous plate allows changing configurations according to new demands, from plaza to an open cinema or a musical concert.
Reconfiguring the existing spaces to meet demands on technical standards and modernization, an aquatic complex is created on the existing building at a restricted and private level so as to maintain programmatic division with the SESC.
The promenade connects the plot. Strategically located, it serves the sport sector, the educational center and communicates the public plaza with the building. Draining pavements, ramps and urban furniture will ensure highly connected spaces of human scale.
