FIELD STUDIO is a workspace that supports the field studies carried out by MAPA in the Town. A small compact space designed for gathering and processing data at the scene of the event.

FIELD STUDIO is the site where design and theoretical inquiries, exhibitions, prototypes, workshops, interviews and other kinds of information exchange about architecture, rural landscape and hospitality take place.

FIELD STUDIO, in addition to being a studio, it is a place to stay, work and ponder.

FIELD STUDIO is located in one of the most emblematic sites in Garzón. Placed next to the old mill and by the town’s main access road, in a rural brick tapera built in the beginnings of last century. It was rehabilitated by MAPA, respecting its past and surroundings.

FIELD STUDIO is equipped with a CLT wooden table that brings into question the concept of public and private space by crossing through a masonry wall, allowing new relationships between the studio´s grounds and Pueblo Garzón: lunches and dinners, meetings and gatherings, individual and collaborative works, installations, board games and other rituals.
